A Namibian actress and model has moved to London in the hope of progressing her career and taking up her place in the Miss Global competition.
Rahab Inghalwa has qualified as a finalist in the prestigious beauty pageant, taking place in Cambodia in November [2017], but needs sponsorship to make the trip possible.
“My main aim of coming to London is to pursue a modelling career and get signed up by a modelling agency or manager,” Rahab told me. “I’m also looking for acting roles, and I’m hoping that this, in turn, will help my bid for the Miss Global title, where I have qualified to represent my native country, Namibia.”
The pageant will feature between 50 and 80 finalists from around the world, each representing their country of origin or their cultural heritage.
But in order to take up her place, Rahab has to find sponsorship by October to cover her expenses.
“There are several benefits on offer to sponsors, including publicity online, in print and on stage during the finals,” said Rahab. “So I am hoping some businesses or organisations will have confidence in me and give me their support”.
