It’s not often that a blog post on here is quite this timely – Rebecca Poole is launching her new album Play On tonight (Wednesday 4 November 2026) ahead of its release on Friday.

I loved Rebecca’s sunshiny single Summer Days from June last year, and I’m very grateful for having early access to this new collection.

If you’re a jazz fan, you’ll love the classic sound, with Rebecca’s sultry vocals and story-telling technique complemented by a star-studded line-up of musicians, and even a spoken contribution by veteran actor Simon Williams, introducing the title track.

But you don’t have to be a jazz lover to appreciate this spell-binding album. It’s a superb collection of tracks, embracing elements of jazz, blues, and pop.

From romantic love songs like You Still Make Me Laugh and Good News Baby to the heartbreaking In Another Life, proceeds from which will go to the baby-loss charity Sands, I really enjoyed my first listen to this album, and I look forward to many more.

If you’re seeing this in time, Rebecca will be launching the album with a performance at Crazy Coqs in Soho, London, this evening (Weds).

And if you missed that, you can get a copy of the album on Rebecca’s website here.
